Nick Jonas has said that he is looking to find the next Willow Smith in his search for America's next young music star.
This weekend Jonas launched an online talent competition in partnership with the Quaker Chew Superstar Search to find talented musicians aged eight to 14.
"I think the qualities that I'm looking [for is] somebody that can really take the songs and make it their own," Jonas told MTV News. "I'm excited, 'cause if we can find a young person who's as passionate about music as I was then we'll be in really good shape."
When asked which stars of today had inspired his search, Jonas referred to the likes of 'Whip My Hair' singer Willow Smith and YouTube sensation Greyson Chance.
"I think for this particular competition I have to keep it in the mindset of young artists at this moment so I'd say somebody with the overall star power and star qualities of Willow Smith, with the artistry of Greyson Chance, who is really talented," Jonas explained before joking, "Like a really little Nick Jonas!"
The winner of the search will have a song produced by Jonas in addition to an online music video, a contract with Jonas Group Management and a cash prize of $5,000.
Jonas was recently forced to clarify rumours surrounding the future of the Jonas Brothers, insisting that the band plan to reunite some point down the line.
