NBA Finals 2011 Scores and Results: Dallas Mavs vs. Miami Heat Game 6 Winner

The NBA Finals 2011 scores and results are now official for the Dallas Mavs vs Miami Heat Game 6 winner. Tonight's pivotal game for the Miami Heat had them down 3 games to 2 of their opponents, the Dallas Mavericks.

Tonight's game certainly had tensions running high between these two NBA Finals teams. Miami lost their cool in the second quarter during a skirmish on a timeout. Udonis Haslem got into it with Tyson Chandler and other Mavs players near center court. Mario Chalmers of the Heat also rushed over to get involved. It led to technical fouls on the two Heat players, which may have also had a mental effect.

The Miami Heat found themselves down by 2 points at the half, and then 9 heading into the fourth quarter. With over 8 minutes left in the fourth, it was 89 to 77 in favor of the Mavs. Dwyane Wade made several turnovers by mishandling the ball. After a JJ Barea drive, the Mavs looked to be in cruise control.

A huge "And 1" play by Mario Chalmers chipped Dallas' lead down to just 9 points. Moments later though, Jason Terry's one of two free throws made it a 10-point game again. LeBron James scored a quick jumper down the other end, and it was an 8-point game. Later still, Bosh's lay-up score and foul shot made it a 7-point game. Miami still had life with over 5 minutes remaining. However, Mario Chalmers made a go for Tyson Chandler and Jason Kidd on his breakaway lay-up, with the Mavs D getting the best of him.

The Heat tried for some big plays late, but Dallas continued to make them suffer by hitting big shot after big shot. Nowitzki's drive with under 30 seconds to go gave the Mavs a bigger lead to seal the deal. The Heat realized their fate had been sealed as Jason Kidd went to the free throw line and put Dallas ahead by 13 points. Final score, 105 to 95, with the Mavericks bringing home the franchise's first-ever NBA Championship trophy.

LeBron James finished with 21 points, while Bosh added 19 points. Mario Chalmers put in 18 and Dwyane Wade had 17. Miami shot 34 of 72 in the game for 47.2%. They were also 60.6% from the free throw line, which could have lessened their load in the fourth quarter.

Miami seemed to once again self-destruct in the fourth quarter as time panic set in. Dallas could sense their opponents were down against the ropes and they certainly went for the knockout blow. Miami will now have to regroup and use this disappointing end to their season as fuel for their fire in the 2011-12 NBA season. Will the Big 3 of James, Bosh and Wade be able to get back to this stage of the postseason in 2012 though, or will other teams continue to prey on their major weakness?
